Hello:
I am currently working on a mystery novel that involves elements of
fruit growing in the Columbia Gorge. I am interested in interviewing
any orchardists out there who could give me some insight into what is
involved in being an orchardist (especially someone who may own an
orchard). I spent some time in the Hood River area and participated in
a pear harvest one year as sup****t staff for the owner. I had the
privilege of watching a crew of hard-working, experienced pickers
bringing in the harvest. But I saw it pretty much from the outside.
Any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to request a question
list. I will gladly add anyone in my acknowledgments when the book is
finally published.
