Please idntify this hive

I had a hive show up during a renovation of my deck. Looks like the hive 
dropped off a beam while I tore up the deck. I've never seen a hive like 
this.

I made a web page of the pics. I'd apperciate any input as to what kind of

bee they are, and I'd like to move it, not destory it. I have a good spot 
for it, it's a matter of courage and safetest way.

The hive rets on the gorund and against a cement foundation. This is just 
under the house part. Smart critters and they removed some fibreglass and 
covered the hive with it - but the pictures were taken a week ago and 
they've since covered the hive.

I heard that there is a shortage of bees and that scintists are worried.

back your indeas as to the kind of bee, and hive and if you can, safetest 
way to move it. I can't do the expense of the net hat and special
clothing. 
What temp is safest to move them et cetra
