Re: Helpful tips on lifting hive bodies?

I have come across some info on keepers using shallow supers as hive
bodies.  This would mean using honey supers as hive bodies, is that
correct?

I'm wondering how many shallow supers to equal 2 full size hive
bodies?  3 maybe?  I'm guessing about 30 lbs/honey-shallow super and
if 1 full size super full is approx 80-90 lbs then would 3 shallows do
the trick?

Do you know if any detrimental effects caused by using shallows as
hive bodies?
