I think it's just the nature of the beast. Usenet is basically dead
or dying in all groups. Internet is just easier for most folks.
I have other livestock interests, but was forced to break down and
hunt up yahoo groups to join.
Anyway, I check in from time to time. I'm a total novice wading thru
my first winter. First snowfall was this week.
A monthly "task list" of thing needed to do would help a noob like me
immensely, with a caveat of where you live of course. I find that of
all my livestock, that I have less understanding of my bees than
anything else. So I tend to probably "neglect" them because I don't
really know enough to self-initiate things to do, and I don't have the
luxury of a mentor.
