When I worked in Nigeria they had big lizards like that. I used to watch
them and hear them tromping around in the undergrowth. I didn't notice
that
they liked climbing that much, they seemed to get all they needed on the
ground. You might for a smallish operation and something for all tropical
regions trying to keep bees, sink a metal pole in the ground. Of course
this
creates other annoyances and extra expense for the beekeeper, but that
might
keep the lizards out and the ants. A little grease perhaps rubbed on the
pole. I know I missed April Fool's day, but you could always im****t
Africanized bees from the U.S. I cannot see a lizard having much success
trying to get into one of their hives and they really thrive in the
tropics,
build up super fast, bit quick to swarm, but hives are enormous, can get
in
quick and re-queen perhaps, I wouldn't advise it.
