Green cl with title+fruit vignettes in gilt on FCs and spines. Albany,
Lyon 1905. VG/-, VG/- Evidently a matched set, as covers show closely
comparable shelfcocks, degrees of soiling and rubbing, and general nominal
edgewear. Damp stain at the top spine end of Volume One's block does not
extend into the pages. A color frontispiece, 136 photographic color plates
and
78 page b & w plates are present and attached, with the exception of the
color plate for "Transcendent (Crab)" between pp. 266/7 of Vol. 2, which
is detached and laid in. Front endpapers have an abundance of older
seller's marks in red pencil. The set, $165.00 postpaid
Another set, intact but not so presentably matched, is available for
$105.00 postpaid.
