My Indian Runner Duck has been a regular layer of an egg a day, usually
layng them in the late evening/early morning. I picked the usual egg up
yesterday morning, then came home in the afternoon to find another egg
deposited on the lawn. This was obviously 'mal-formed' as it was soft
(but not easy to break), as well as being a pale white rather than blue
colour.
Why does this happen?
Could she have had a fright that caused her to lay early?
Other causes?
Thanks
Alan.
