Chasing her and as she cowers from him he just starts to peck her quite
nastily. He just seems to have this hatred thing going on with her.

I do agree with you but on the otherhand he is human-friendly ( I helped
him
out of his shell and have handled him every day since), and he is quite
gentle when mating the other hens - just this particular one he has taken
exception to.
