How about fences across the bridges at the chook-territory side?

Mine have a ramp to go up to get into their house from their big outdoor 
run, because of the sloping ground.  It took a wee while and I found I 
had to put netting on the board because it's quite steep.  As soon as 
they could get a decent foothold they were up and down that ramp very 
freely.  So I can't see a nice flat bridge dissuading them!
