silkie chicks - again!

by Ginny <glvl88@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 4, 2008 at 02:56 PM

Another fine batch of silkie chicks are popping out all over the tray in
the incubator.

However they are a day early, again. They are all healthy, I have
checked the temp with three different thermometers and everything seems
to be right with humidity. They just come out on day 20. This is
probably the third time (eggs from the same breeders). I was blaming the
warmer days of summer maybe causing the stored eggs to develop slowly
over the week before incubating but we have been having lovely cool
weather for a month now. Maybe the parent stock were early chicks too
but I don't know.

Oh well, it isn't im****tant really. Just thought someone else may have
some ideas.
