Pat's Note:
"This will come to an end when the Americans arrive in serious force
and babies die. The media will tear them apart."
Usually I have to wait years for my guesses to come right, Within 24
hours there has been interesting developments.
Britain and its corrupt vets might show a callous disregard for the
elderly, but the news of British babies carrying MRSA has hit the
American media - and the same publication tells how British soldiers
are suffering from C.Diff.
Texas too.
That is one more ingredient then needed present to force Defra to test
the pigs and publish the results - or rather release the fact that
they know the pigs have MRSA and get on with testing them for C.Diff.
Defra can't take on the army, the cradle and the Americans, and
Britain's vets are complete fools to think they can.
No wonder the country has been riddled with disease for years, animal
health is run by idiots.
Every right thinking person is going to be on the other side.
Incidentally, PD will notice that I was right and that stats are not
always kept for under 65's.

Superbug Hits All Ages ; Hospital Treating Soldiers Worst for C.Diff
Exclusive

By JEANETTE OLDHAM
A MIDLAND hospital trust treating Britain's war-wounded soldiers has
the country's worst record for C.diff infections among the young and
the old.
University Hospital Birmingham (UHB) recorded 193 cases of the
superbug affecting patients aged from two to 64 between April and
December last year.
The new Health Protection Agency statistics mean the trust, in charge
of Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak hospitals, has more cases of
Clostridium Difacile in the age category than anywhere else in the
country.
The HPAonly began recording cases for the age group in April last
year.
Previously it released only the number of cases in the elderly -
traditionally most prone to developing superbugs.
The mortality rate nationally among C.diff victims is seven per cent.
That means, statistically, there are likely to have been 13 deaths
among the 193 patients at Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak.
Seven hero soldiers who survived terrible war wounds caught C.diff on
wards at Selly Oak Hospital last year alone.
Graziella Kontowski, who runs the group C.diff Sup****t, said: "It is
extremely worrying that the hospital that treats Britain's war wounded
recorded the highest number of C.diff cases among the two- to 64
year-old age group.
"These people are being failed.
It's a national scandal that soldiers are catching the superbug."
UHB failed to meet the March 31 deadline set by the Government for all
trusts to have completed a deep-clean of its hospitals. ...

5 Babies in MRSA Shock
Posted on: Sunday, 29 June 2008, 21:02 CDT
FIVE babies in a hospital have the superbug MRSA on their skins, it
was revealed yesterday.
Tests detected traces of the virus on the tots at the Royal Alexandra
Hospital in Paisley near Glasgow, health chiefs announced.
A spokesman insisted the babies were not infected only "colonised" and
claimed: "Normally this doesn't cause problems."
The infants were last night in an isolation ward.
